Elected in 2016, Darren Soto represents Central Florida in Congress. Darren entered public service to work for these hard-working Floridians. Serving for a decade in the Florida Legislature, he fought to create high paying jobs, increase access to higher education, and ensure clean water, land, and air for his constituents. Soto passed landmark legislation protecting families of fallen firefighters, giving victims of sexual assault more time to report their attackers, and allowing Dreamers to be admitted to the Florida Bar. He also secured $25 million to build a state of the art college campus in the District, helped provide $10 million to save Florida’s springs, and brought in $15 million for a high-tech sensors manufacturing facility.                                       

The first Floridian of Puerto Rican descent to serve in Congress, Darren is proud to represent all the diverse people of the 9th District. Soto graduated from Rutgers University and George Washington University School of Law. His hobbies include playing guitar, pastel painting, and kayaking.  Initially joining his local Orlando Young Democrats club to make friends, he was soon encouraged to run for the Florida House. At the age of 29, he ran, won, and has brought a sense of humility to public service ever since.

Carl is an advocate by profession who graduated from the University of Malta in 2014 and was admitted to the bar in 2015. Prior to graduating he spent a number of years training in litigation, principally in the fields of criminal and human rights law.  He joined the Malta Gaming Authority’s legal team in 2014, with his main practice and experience relating to regulatory policy within the gaming sector, and legal affairs. 

Having formed part of the legislative overhaul conducted in the Maltese regulatory framework for the gaming sector in the recent past, he gained considerable experience in legislative reforms, stakeholder management, and regulatory strategy. Ed Andrewes has over 20 years’ experience in the online betting and gaming industry. Dr. Edgar White currently serves as the Director of The White Company, heading its blockchain financing division and the BSaV.io platform. He has 15 years of fixed income and derivatives trading experience and holds a Series 3 Futures License from the NFA. Gabor is an economics graduate from Oxford Brookes University. He started a career as a Futures Trader in The City, and then became a FCA regulated Equity Derivatives Trader for 15 years.
